  1. I think we’ve hit an automatic reaction here for Ben. Probably something his father would have said. And why he crossed out the “sorry” on the note when he left home!

  2. I have said “Tell me what you want me to say and I’ll say it” to my parents MULTIPLE TIMES. Not being sassy, being utterly scared. My parents are insane though. For example, around the time I was taking Finals (And therefore EXHAUSTED), I decided to take a nap after school. My parents (Mom, specifically. My dad is pretty sane, though he will side with her even when she’s being crazy) accused me of taking drugs…because I was TIRED. Drug test and all. Ignore the fact that I always obey them and have never done anything SERIOUSLY wrong.

    1. When I’ve said that to my mom she goes absolutely APESHIT on me. I know exactly what you mean. I’m a good kid, always have been, but God forbid I do something that she doesn’t agree with…

      1. Healthy dose of terror?
        Sane amounts of lunacy?
They won’t respect you unless you beat them into submission?

I think you might be driving under the influence of a crappy education and lack of your own thoughts.

    2. That’s ok. My folks thought I was doing drugs because I had a scented candle in my room. They also thought I was a lesbian because my best friend was a girl and I didn’t have a boyfriend. Parents jump to conclusions when they sense you are growing up and not including them in everything. I have come to accept that this is just the way it is.

  3. Poor Ben is just probably bewildered. This guy has gone from hyper friendly to wrathful more than once in this conversation so far, and what’s with the churchyard?

  4. Churchyard, not “a” churchyard. From the way everyone’s talking about “context” in the comments, and from the sudden turnaround in the guy’s attitude, I’m guessing Churchyard is… a place. Where people go. For… stuff.
