  1. It’s very good to see a new comic here. ^_^

Also… I’m trying not to laugh helplessly at the thought of what sort of client EJ is likely to attract…

    1. the law of conservation of detail says that it will be someone we already know.
or another cameo by rincewind’s mexican alter ego.

    1. every time someone says this, Spike pushes the updates back a week.
it’s like in the army when everyone in the platoon gets punished for one person fucking up.

  2. Glad to see new Templar!

Also, in an interesting bit of (accidental?) synchronicity, there was a Toyota ad on the site that said “Dedicated to the right fix.” Yes, just as Biggs is. ;)

  3. I doubt Biggs is going to last an hour without either deteriorating further or getting spotted by Jakes. I don’t think the story would allow it. I do find it interesting in the last panel that just before EJ caves in, Biggs seems to be giving up on trying to persuade him. Of course, it might just be a passive-aggressive response.

    1. Passive-aggressive, I’d say. The martyr routine of “yeah, well fuck you, do what you want and leave me here to suffer”. Rarely fails unless you’re strong enough to stand up against your friend. And we already know EJ isn’t. (As in his breakdown when they were running from the Jakes and Biggs said he was leaving him.)

    2. It’s even more heart-wrenching when EJ was so casual about whoring himself out earlier, but now he has reservations now that he sees he’s enabling Biggs. At least that’s how it reads to me.

      God damn, Spike. God damn.

  4. Oh dear. I’m picturing say… well, probably not Gordon, who seems only super creepy for girls he can scare (athough, really, it’s possible). But at least someone who is totally terrible.

Or creepily sweet. Spike would pull that on us.

    Maybe even Bash himself?

    1. Can’t you just imagine this: EJ coming out from some sleazy building with some bills in his hand, he hears some noise, looks up, sees Biggs running past, screaming and flailing his arms, and after a minute, one of the Jakes kids jogs by with a big knife in hand, gives EJ a happy greeting and continues on after Biggs? EJ then looks at the cash in his hand, scowls unhappily, stuffs the cash in a pocket, pulls up his hood and then takes after the Jake kid. XD

  5. Wow. Wow. I actually, really and truly, feel sorry for EJ. I can’t say that’s ever happened before.

Really excited to see a new strip, too! Yay!

  6. Not to mention the possessed look on Biggs’ eyes; he’s the one who needs to go on fits more often (and not just for drugs). It’s starting to sink-in how one Elliot is the proverbial Yin to the other Elliot’s Yang, despite their particular dysfunctions.

  7. I almost hope he runs into Screaming Guy (I forget his name). But I really hope he tries to seduce Scipio, cuz that would just be hilarious to see.

    1. Screaming Guy would be Dr. Elijah Brewster Bash, whose coat Biggs has gotten vomit on there. He’ll be making an appearance soon enough (though he DID think Ben was a hooker…I’d think from that he has some history with that sort of thing. Hmm.)

  8. Wow. What a bizarre relationship. So, how many bullets are in that half-a-gun made from three guns – the one in the hands of the crazy man having the jones in the jakes while hiding from Jakes.?

  9. It’s already been established that EJ does not mind peddling ass. I think he’s just being reluctant now because he knows Biggs will be mad later- at himself, and at EJ for letting himself get talked into it. I get the feeling this has probably happened before.

I feel more sorry for Biggs. Addictions sucks. Addiction to heroin is truly awful. And he’s going to hate himself even more once he does have some.

  10. I feed off of fictional human dysfunction and misery, this comic is like a feast.
Thank you for enabling me, Spike.
