  1. Huh. I’d completely forgotten what Biggs was like before he was in withdrawal and scared shitless. He sounds smart, more than street-smart. I’d love to know his backstory. :)

    1. Yeah, he doesn’t look like death walking either. And ‘Spare me your programmed adolescent outrage’ is just too good a line to not use again.

    2. Better certainly than any heroin addict I’ve ever met. Which I wish I could say was a negligible number. Their supremely disappointing antics aside, “communicable degeneracy” strikes me as a disgusting cause for eviction given the ways it could be interpreted. Even its phrasing offends me.

      1. I’ve met plenty of heroin addicts. I’d say there’s the same proportion of idiots among junkies as there is among the rest of the population. I met some very bright people in Sunset Park, Wilzburg, and Bed-Stuy.

  2. Hey, guys – some people are reading this through for the first time, and I really don’t want to know who’s going to dry out or what … remember when you read it through the first time? Thanks.

  3. Biggs might have his problems, but he always did strike me as a sharp guy.
I agree, communicable degeneracy sounds like the sort of thing the social hygiene coalition would come up with.
